Who Can Become a PADI Divemaster?

About the age and pre-requisites

To start your divemaster training from PADI, you must have 18 years old at least and meet the next requirements:

• Have rescue diver certification.
• Have made 40 logic dives at least.
• Have undergone CPR and first aid training in the last 24 months at least.
• Have a medical clearance to dive.

Junior Divemaster

Children who are between 15 and 18 can enroll in the PADI Junior Divemaster program. The PADI junior divemaster program is considered a subset of the PADI Divemaster course. Master candidates Kane complete a larger portion of the Divemaster course including the following:
